Random Thought Thursday

Okay, so it's totally not Thursday, but I promise, I thought of this yesterday. I'm sorry I've been such a slacker when it comes to this blog... I'm just so tired from carrying around an extra 30 pounds every day! Another promise: I will post an update blog this weekend to let you know how the girls are.

Today's Random Thought:

I'm really happy that the dot.com geniuses decided to use "dot" instead of "period" when the developed websites. Can you imagine if you had to say www period jenny dash chick period blogspot period com? Not only does it have too many syllables, it just sounds gross.

  1. Just found your blog, and wanted to say Congratulations on your upcoming arrivals! How exciting!

You've made a great decision to wait and see who these little girls are. No matter how many chromosomes they have, they are going to be feisty and fun (and likely fishing with Daddy).

I agree with you about the "dot", and I'm glad that they've dropped the "www". When my daughter was about 7 years old (she has Down syndrome), she'd be reading and would try to sound out the "www". It was pretty funny to hear her say, "wuh wuh wuh dot"!

  2. I just found your blog through another. I am yet to figure out how soooo many bloggers find a "new" blog so quickly. (referring to all the comments on your post regarding your ultrasound. They responded with minutes of your post! How'd they do that?)

I am slow to find blogs but wanted to introduce myself. I, too, was in your shoes three years ago. I have twins girls, one with DS. I chose not to do the amnio either. My OB down played the soft marker on the ultrasound but I knew deep down, from the very begining my sweet baby "B" was carrying a secret. Therefore, when she was born, I was not suprised.

I totally agree with Beth that the number of chromosomes do not really matter. If it does indeed come to surface that she does have Trisomy 21, you'll soon come to realize what a POSITIVE it will be for you and your family, really. Just enjoy your pregnancy and drink your PROTEIN shakes!!

Congrats! I look forward to the girls' birthday!! May I add you to my blog roll?
