I too had the swelling after my twins were born (one with Down syndrome and one typical) BUT my swelling did not come until the WEEKS and MONTHS after they were born when my body was redistributing everything!! Sheesh!! Hang in there, you are in the final stretch now. With my first child I was so swollen for the last 6 weeks that the nurse at my OB's office told me that I easily had 7 pounds of fluid just in my feet!
